What started as an idea to end a mid-life funk, turned into a remarkable journey that shook up my life and forever changed who I am, what I do, and how I interact with the world. Leaving behind familiar routines in order to push ahead, I launched a platform called Follow Me To 50: 50 diverse public service projects, a novice service blog, and a 50-mile solo walk, all between my 49th and 50th birthdays. Breaking out of my comfort zone, I was welcomed by an expanded community I truly adore, admire, and now crave! I have an army of diverse friends and a host of new skills, interests, and passions.
